Animal Medical Supply owner Harriette Rush Carney

opened the doors in1988, and has been bringing top medications, skin and ear treatment products, food and more to the area ever since. Her enthusiasm for animals, coupled with her boundless energy, make Animal Medical Supply a must-use store for any pet owner. “I work with the best people in the world,” she said, “namely, my customers and my staff.” She is dedicated to finding the right answer to every question — from the appropriate treat for your furry friend to the best flea and tick treatments.

Dr. A.P. "Bill" Carney III

We lost  our founder, mentor and all-around great veterinarian Dr. A.P. "Bill" Carney III in 2021 He was a giant among men in all ways — fierce, intelligent, loving and a champion of all animals. He has now been greeted by all of the critters across the rainbow bridge, thanking him for his years of expert, compassionate care. We will miss him.

Dr. A.P. "Chip" Carney IV

Dr. A.P. Carney IV, better know as "Dr. Chip," is a second-generation veterinarian bringing his expertise and caring to Poplar Springs Animal Hospital and through working part-time at Animal Medical Supply.

Dr. Carney is a graduate of St. George's University (Granada) as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and did his clinical internship at Auburn University, with a primary focus on small animals.

Dr. Jennifer Lagendijk-Carney

Jennifer is a recent summa cum laude graduate with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from St. George's University School of Veterinary Medicine. She received her Bachelor of Science from Mississippi State University and did her 4th Year Clinical Training at Auburn University. The Meridian native has a special interest in veterinary dermatology.
